Branching Out Group
Branching out is a very informal arrangement whereby you can drop in every Thursday afternoon 1pm - 3pm, have a cup of tea/coffee and a chat and join in with the activities. Nursery Parents are also welcome to join this Parent Group.
Some of the areas we have been discussing are learning styles, teaching children how to read, learning Welsh, computers, learning English as a second language and just generally chatting about the school. It is a very relaxed, informal atmosphere and you don't have to come every week if you don't want to. We would be delighted to see more parents/guardians join the group so please drop in and say hello. It's a great way to get to know other parents and get involved with what's happening in the school.
If you would like to come along please just turn up any Thursday afternoon – you will usually find us in the music room in the infants school. There is a creche available if you have young children.
Family learning classes are run in many schools in the UK. They give parents and carers the opportunity to find out how things are taught in their own child's school, as well as a chance to share ideas with other parents and develop their own skills.
