Parents as Partners
We see the education of your child as a partnership between home and school. Parents are required to sign a Home/School Agreement as confirmation of this partnership.
Parents are most welcome in St Giles School and children who see parents communicating with the staff and Headteacher quickly develop a feeling of belonging and security. If parents have any worries or anxieties affecting their child their first step should be to contact the teacher or Headteacher as soon as possible.
Every year parents are invited to help their child’s class teacher with specific areas of the curriculum e.g. Art, Design, Play Activities. Both Infant and Junior Departments have a group of volunteers who listen to children read on a weekly basis.
